Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking an electrically biased maintenance engineer who has experience working in a busy manufacturing/factory environment and who possesses a minimum level 3 qualification in an electrical discipline.
Hours of Work: 40 hrs/wk – 7.00 to 16.30 Mon to Thurs (with 45-min lunch) 7.00 to 12.00 midday Friday

Role Overview
Working within the maintenance team you will be hands-on ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. You will be flexible in your approach, focusing on the changing day-to-day priorities.
From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM) it is a role where you will use your problem-solving skills and technical expertise every day.
The role is varied so youll get the chance to use a variety of electrical skills associated with being an electrician and maintenance engineer.
You will be expected to follow all formal written work instructions ensuring you work safely, produce work to the expected standard and working efficiently to deliver equipment back to production in a timely manner. We expect you to be engaging in continuous improvement activities and maintaining the good housekeeping standards of 5S. Operations are to be performed using provided and designated tools and equipment working to current industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines as per company procedures; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Fault-finding problems by observing machinery in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Maintain the fabric of the building as well as ensuring all services (Water, Electric and Air) are inspected and maintained as per company procedures.
- React to production breakdowns quickly ensuring all relevant personnel are aware of the machine status at all time.
- Liaising with other departments when required to ensure Production requirements are met.
- Using Mechanical and electrical knowledge, assisting in the design and manufacture/fabrication of Jigs and fixtures to aid production
- Fabricate repair parts and date stamps by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; raise purchase requisitions to maintain stock levels of frequently used parts
- Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Ensures that annual contracts are renewed and carried out by all contractors in a timely and safe manner in accordance with Company procedures.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure that operating supplies are used economically as planned.
- Assist in the control usage, order, and pick up of operating supplies.
- Ensure you are working efficiently and to the required output expectations.
Qualifications Preferred
- City and Guilds 2330 electrical installation.
- NVQ Electrical Installation.
- 17th BS7671:2008.

- Experience with ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls or similar and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC Lathe controls or similar are essential.

Spray Shop Operative
Job Title: Spray Shop Operative
Reports to: Production Team Leader
Hours of Work: 07:00 to 16:30 Mon-Thurs (45-min lunch break) 07:00 to 12:00 midday Fri – 40 hrs/wk
Role Overview:
The role involves spraying and bonding inserts before they are handed over to Production. Jobs and quantities will vary depending on business trends and customer demands. You are expected to be flexible to meet customer requirements. Training and support will be provided as you progress and learn new procedures. You will be expected to follow the company Code of Practice and to adhere to a high standard of health & safety, quality conformity, time & attendance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Adhering to Standard Working Procedures (SWP) and Supplier Quality Requirements (SQR) and reporting any inefficiencies. This will be monitored daily by the Production Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Accurate completion of required paperwork e.g. Work in Progress (WIP), Work Order (WO) Pace Board, Non-conforming Material (NCM), Press Control Forms, Log books.
- Working safely with chemicals stripping rubber from inserts and applying bond to inserts. You will be fit-tested and supplied with an adequate facemask that must be worn for certain jobs.
- Monitoring machinery and equipment to ensure they are always kept in a fully operational, safe and clean condition. Reporting machine malfunctions, oil, water and air leaks to Maintenance or Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Reporting any faults/issues to the Production Team Leader/Supervisor or relevant department supervisor.
- To have an active involvement in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and Company objectives.
- Ensuring that your area is kept in a clean and tidy condition and that inserts, tooling and jigs are neatly stored in a safe condition in the areas provided and identified appropriately.
- Being fully conversant with Company documentation and department codes of practise ensuring that the spray shop area is ready for audit at all times.
- Problem Solving & Process Improvements. Contributing to a continuous improvement atmosphere by inputting ideas and improvements.
- As business needs dictate you may be required to undertake activities within different departments i.e. cover during holiday periods, sickness absences.
- Ensuring that you work in accordance with Camberley Rubber Moulding Ltd. ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance procedures and complying with the instructions contained in the product documentation pack (Works Package) as issued and approved for a product/process, including ensuring that production permits and concessions are in place as appropriate.
Preferred experience: working in a spray shop/manufacturing environment.

Process Engineer
Job Title: Process Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Supervisor
Hours of Work: 07:00 to 16.30 Mon-Thurs (45-min lunch break) 07:00 to 12:00 midday Fri – 40 hrs/wk
Role Overview:
This is very much a ‘hands-on role’ supporting production issues on the shop floor as part of the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and document processes for new production parts for the rubber moulding processes and related assembly equipment. Moulding experience is a must.
This may include:
- Injection, compression and transfer moulding.
- Rubber testing/measuring supported by our in-house laboratory and fellow engineering team.
- Rubber to metal or various substrate bonding.
- Tooling and/or design with full support from our CAD team/in-house tooling engineering and suppliers.
- Finishing and inspection
Works on rubber moulding process parameters to identify root cause of production issues, provides corrective actions.
Provides specific rubber moulding process training to machine operators as a “hand over” to production status.
Requirements:
- Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in injection moulding, compression moulding, transfer moulding.
- Hands on person with the ability to learn and understand rubber machinery.
- Ability to judge key critical quality characteristics of rubber-based products.
- Ability to manage projects and timescales to meet customer requirements.
- Experience in a cross-functional-cultural work environment/team player.
